You are the expert within your domain, who provides sound counsel to IT and business with regards to change management processes. Whichever domain you call home, the application landscape you establish will directly contribute towards achieving our growth ambitions and enhancing the shopping experience of over 9 million customers.

Your responsibilities as an Enterprise Architect

  • You ‘own’ the architecture within your domain, gather expertise and share your ideas with all stakeholders
  • You connect the various business domains (bird’s eye view) and are the go-to person for architecture related questions
  • You set out an ambitious vision for the future, together with your business and IT colleagues
  • Based on this shared vision, you determine in which direction the architecture landscape moves
  • You collaborate with IT and business teams (mainly on the strategic level), earn the trust of decision makers and provide proactive counsel on architecture issues

As Enterprise Architect you sit on the leadership team of your domain and are, in conjunction with team managers and product owners, responsible for the success of innovations. You constructively challenge your colleagues and get everyone on the same page. And, even though your vision of the architecture is well thought out, it is important to always weigh the input of others and get broad buy-in for ambitions. You use your communication skills to generate commitment for architecture decisions, including for highly influential innovations that may be required to attain’s long-term goals. Alignment is key. Although you ‘own’ the long-term architecture vision (3-5 years), you do not work in isolation. is convinced that impactful advances are the result of bottom-up innovation. Which means that your vision should reflect (and evolve with) constant discussion with the scrum teams, software architects and business annalists within your domain.

You are a self-starter who can easily remain standing in a dynamic environment, in which hierarchy and job responsibilities are sometimes fluid. You take a creative and flexible approach to sharing your vision, and will use presentations, architecture designs, or whatever else is appropriate. A technical background would be very welcome. Analytical insight and conceptual thinking skills are indispensable. As are a healthy measure of enthusiasm and entrepreneurial spirit. And finally, it is important that you are a strategist with a penchant for execution: the journey is as rewarding as crossing the finish line.

How it works

  2. We call you to set up an interview. And since we’re already talking: feel free to ask any question you may have.
  3. In this first interview we’ll get to know each other. We want to find out more about you. Work experience is interesting, but we also want to find out more about you as a person. Together, we’ll find out if this job is a match made in heaven.
  4. Before the next interview we will ask you to take an online assessment. We’ll also discuss the position and your team in depth.
