How do you make our customers happy?
By giving operators in our insanely environmentally friendly (we have bats!) fulfillment centers the tools they need to excel in their jobs: delivering the orders of over 9.5 million customers. Which happens to require a lot of tools and devices. Over 2200 of them, including 400 tablets, 1200 scanners and 600 printers. And it looks like those numbers will double by next year…
Your responsibilities as IT Support Warehouse
- You’re an IT/device/security work place facilitator and problem solver extraordinaire
- You provide and support operators with devices and manage our IT stock
- Prioritize, delegate, follow up on and (mostly) solve issues
- Prepare tablets, printers, handheld scanners and workstations for end users
- Provide first line assistance with our warehouse management system (WMS)
- Manage tickets in our helpdesk system, as well as hardware/software in the CMDB
Your mission: to keep 2.200 tools and devices in superb working order and our security the envy of the Western world. A tall order, because stuff that works most of the time isn’t good enough. Everything absolutely, positively has to work every time. That’s what you as our IT Support Warehouse, and your seven colleagues in the warehouse support team, make happen. In a very special location, because the fulfillment center is more than a hub of customer activity, it’s a highly mechanized and extremely sustainable enterprise. And we’re counting on you to provide the logistical workplace management, troubleshoot issues to smithereens, keep everything secure and provide operators with the proactive service they didn’t know they needed. Plus everything else you associate with modern service engineering.
3 reasons why this is(n’t) for you
- Because you have an MBO/ vocational diploma (preferably in IT administration)
- Because you’re curious about Android and Linux devices
- Because you’re all over any IT/ technical emergency
- Because it’s hard to empathize with end users. They’re always whining
- Because you couldn’t care less about automated warehouses of the future
- Because you’re a soloist. Let colleagues find their own freaking solutions
Where you’ll work
As IT Support Warehouse, you work in the Warehouse Support Systems team. You and your seven colleagues administer the entire IT logistics of bol.com for our fulfillment centers in Waalwijk, Nieuwegein and Amsterdam. From Android devices, scanners, printers and the network, to monitoring our security systems. The culture is open, informal and down to earth. You can blow off steam in the games room, on our soccer field in Utrecht, or by running laps in our fulfillment center in Waalwijk. Our strength is based on our cooperation as equals and a drive to constantly improve each other. You can accomplish great things on your own as IT Support Warehouse, and even greater things together.
