How do you make our customers happy?
By ensuring continuous access to our ever-evolving, ultimate shopping experience. It’s quite straightforward, really. We’ve got extremely talented platform architects and software developers lined up. Next step: delivering a platform as a service (PaaS) that will make ‘build & 24/7 run’ truly possible.
Your responsibilities as a visionary driver of platform success
- Help teams meet their commitments
- Connect with platform architects, develop and share their vision
- Encourage actual use of realized solutions
- Actively participate in team stand-ups
- Join forces with the Scrum master to facilitate poker sessions
As our Product Owner Technical Platform you develop a vision, in tandem with platform architects and platform teams. You then evangelize this vision with software development teams. Of course, you make sure that any requirements the software development teams and (software) architects might have, will be met. As the master of the PaaS roadmap you determine direction and priorities for development. Priorities are obvious from the product backlog that contains items provided by the teams that make up the Technical Platform Space. Your ability to glue the platform teams and software development teams together, is crucial. As the Product Owner Technical Platform, you support the teams as they validate ideas with experiments. On top of that, you find creative ways to promote our innovative PaaS platform — from product demos and in-depth training to knowledge-sharing sessions.
Why you can make the difference
Because you’re a natural leader, an Agile/Scrum enthusiast and an excellent communicator. You embrace tech, walk the talk and are able to positively sell the platform vision to others. Proactive stakeholder engagement is your middle name. You are a motivator with at least a Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years of relevant experience. A knack to translate a technical master plan into SMART objectives is pivotal, as is the proven ability to find ways to make sure the team gets all of it done. With gusto.
3 reasons why this is(n’t) for you
- Your user stories are understood by platform architects and software developers
- You bring your own, customized poker cards to the sprint meeting
- With every sprint, team support for your vision grows
- You expect the team to do your backlog grooming
- In your opinion, testing is a 'would like to have' requirement
- You’re not too keen on disrupting technologies
