How do you make our customers happy?

By building and reinforcing the best tech community in the Netherlands. Tech is one of’s most important enablers of innovation. We work in agile and autonomous teams with cutting edge technology to build the best solutions for both our clients and partners. Sharing knowledge with peers in a vibrant community is essential to stay ahead in this game. And sharing knowledge does not abruptly stop at the borders; we want our tech talent to give back and inspire the broader community, as well as be inspired by it.

Your responsibilities as Tech Community Builder

  • Work with the IT community director on new ideas for the IT community roadmap
  • Connect with community leaders, turn ideas into actions
  • Maintain our tech blog, and organize internal and external meetups
  • Help engineers organize trainings
  • Join forces with engineers to organize our yearly spaces summit tech conference
  • Always work together with and for engineers

As our Tech Community Builder, your job is to establish the best tech community in the Netherlands. In cooperation with the engineers themselves, to ensure that your plans in fact realize their wishes. You help the IT Community Director create a roadmap for this community, complete with milestones. You gather ideas from within the organization, translate them into (wonderful and attainable) plans, and create an actual sense of community in which all engineers feel included. Your main focus is on strengthening and empowering the internal community, but you also look outward. The broader our community, and the more techies we reach, the better! You also claim ownership of our tech blog, organize inspiring get-togethers and help engineers organize their own trainings, hackathons, and so forth. To top it off, you’re a driving force behind the success of our next open spaces tech summit.

Why you can make the difference

Because you know how to engage engineers to share knowledge. Your success won’t depend on programming experience, but you do require the tech savvy to understand the ambitions and concerns of the community. You bring creative talent and strong organizational skills to the table; when you organize an event, it’s guaranteed to run smoothly and inspire everyone who attends. You have strong communication skills, know how to overcome obstacles (deftly) and how to streamline a surfeit of stakeholders. You love to think out of the box and come up with new concepts that strengthen the diverse community of Your great sense of humor isn’t a must, but it will help when you get destroyed for the umpteenth time in Fortnite.

3 reasons why this is(n’t) for you

  • Because you only need a sentence to come up with great solutions
  • Because you beam when you enable others to command center stage
  • Because you thrive in a dynamic environment
  • Because you love being micromanaged
  • Because you’re naturally bossy
  • Because you stick to conventional ideas

Where you’ll work serves over 9.5 million customers, hosts 2.5 million monthly visitors and offers roughly 18 million products through an IT-driven work environment.  More numbers? Our 50+ cross-functional scrum teams embrace experiments and new technologies, but even with 100+ releases per week our public downtime is zero. We share a burning ambition to work hard and play hard in equal measure. The setting is pioneering and autonomy is encouraged. Teams deploy their own code to the production environment. You can socialize on our soccer field, in the games room and in the bar on Friday afternoons. As Tech Community Builder, you can achieve a lot by yourself. And so much more with your team.
