In 2017 bol.com opened one of the most sustainable, highly automated, and largest fulfillment centers in the Netherlands. Clearly its Warehouse Management System (WMS) needs to perform flawlessly 24/7. Can you take that performance to an even higher level, and translate performance insights into improvements and innovations that boost the quality?
Your responsibilities as a WMS Consultant
- Analyze, configure and optimize the WMS
- Help develop, adapt and extend the WMS, while maintaining 24/7 uptime
- Design, supervise and perform WMS-related tests
- Translate business processes into technical WMS solutions
As WMS consultant you bridge the gap between business requirements and the WMS system. This includes designing warehouse processes for procedural and technical efficiency. A role with considerable impact, because your expertise determines how smoothly and efficiently our WMS (Reflex) functions going forward. Zoom in on the details and fine tune every aspect of the platform to ensure the (ongoing) success of our fulfillment center.
How can we optimize our pickers’ workload? What algorithms can we use to serve 10+ million customers even faster? Analyze our current choices and change proposal requests, suggest innovations and improvements, and manage the implementation of new solutions. You will also work on the WMS in relation to several ongoing projects in our new warehouses, such as optimizing return shipments, XL products, and the mechanization of processes. In short: as WMS Consultant you analyze complex business process requirements and translate your in-depth insights into robust technical solutions.
