Senior Product Designer - Partner Enablement
Design an infrastructure that 47,000 partners never have to question

How do you make our customers happy?
Bol's 47,000 commercial partners, ranging from small resellers to corporations with portfolios of over half a million SKUs, all rely on the same foundation. That includes onboarding, identity and access management, APIs, and integrator workflows. As the Senior Product Designer for Partner Enablement, you design and optimize that foundation. Not the flashy features partners notice, but the invisible infrastructure that enables them to do business: connect, automate, and scale with confidence. No matter their size and ambitions.

The biggest challenge
A partner managing 1,000 products and a partner managing 500,000+ products both open the same seller dashboard. While their needs may only partially overlap, the system has to work wonders for both. Additionally, you need to facilitate integrators and third-party providers who connect through APIs. Your challenge is to map where partners, integrators, agencies, and tools actually meet, identify sources of friction, and decide which of those issues move the needle on revenue, satisfaction, and adoption. Most of what you design will be invisible when it works. And that’s just the way you like it.
What you'll do as the Senior Product Designer - Partner Enablement
You'll join the Partner Journey domain, working closely with Product Managers, Engineers, Data teams, and fellow designers to identify high-impact opportunities and translate them into solutions that scale across inherently different partner types. Your primary focus is Partner Enablement: the foundational capabilities (onboarding, identity and access management, API experiences, integrator workflows) that ultimately determine whether partners can operate and scale confidently.
This is a design role for someone who's genuinely comfortable in technically complex spaces. You don't need to write code, but you do need to think fluently in APIs, permissions, account structures, and system architecture. You'll leverage AI-assisted and code-based prototyping tools to validate ideas against real data before a single line gets written. And because Partner Enablement underpins nearly everything else in the partner ecosystem, you'll spend as much time aligning stakeholders and simplifying complexity as you will designing screens. What that looks like in practice:
- Lead discovery and research to uncover partner needs and high-impact opportunities across the enablement journey
- Shape product OKRs by challenging problem definitions and championing desirability in strategy discussions
- Own the end-to-end design of complex experiences, from discovery through shipped features
- Simplify complex workflows, permissions, and system interactions into intuitive experiences that work across partner types
- Identify and resolve conflicts between different parts of the system before they become a source of friction for partners
- Partner closely with Product Managers and Engineers to balance partner needs, technical feasibility, and business goals
- Elevate the design craft across the Design Community through design systems, mentoring, and hiring involvement
Why you can make a difference
You have 7+ years of product design experience and a portfolio that demonstrates your effectiveness in complex B2B or platform environments. You enjoy clean interfaces, but prefer working on systems that hold up under challenging technical conditions. You combine strong product thinking with hands-on craft, and you're energized by problems that sit at the intersection of customer needs, business goals, and technical implementation.
You have extensive experience designing for technical environments - dev tooling, APIs, integrations, permissions, account structures, or comparable platform capabilities. Which means this isn't your first rodeo with systems that don't have a streamlined user journey. You operate with a brisk entrepreneurial energy, ask incisive questions that clarify problems to prevent wasting time on the wrong solution, and turn technical constraints into design opportunities instead of treating them as permanent roadblocks. You also know when to ship fast to learn, and when to invest in growing long-term quality.

Where you'll be working
You'll join the Partner Journey team at one of the Netherlands’ and Belgium's best-known online retail tech platforms, serving 13.7 million customers through 47,000 partners with 2,900 colleagues. You'll work alongside Data Analysts, Data Scientists, Product Managers, fellow Product Designers, and Engineers, and contribute to the broader Design Community shaping how bol approaches complex design challenges. The culture is always serious about craft, but believes the recipe for great solutions includes a generous measure of experimentation, iteration, the occasional mistake, and a healthy dose of humor.
