What you'll do as Software Engineer
You'll be part of a product engineering team that owns its systems from design to production. We value autonomy, technical excellence, and continuous improvement, empowering engineers to make meaningful decisions about architecture, processes, and delivery.
In the Finance Engineering team, you'll work on services that form the foundation of bol's financial ecosystem. Our systems consume and process business events generated across the organization, transforming them into accurate financial records that drive downstream finance processes. Every order, payment, invoice, and adjustment depends on the reliability of the platforms we build.
This is a role where engineering quality and business impact go hand in hand. You'll tackle challenges around scalability, reliability, observability, and data integrity, while collaborating closely with finance and product stakeholders. The solutions you build will be essential to ensuring financial accuracy and supporting the growth of the business at scale.
Tech stack: Java, Kotlin, GCP, Spring Boot, and Apache Flink is a big plus
As a Software Engineer you are expected to:
- Design and develop scalable, resilient microservices
- Collaborate with product managers and designers to refine solutions
- Write clean, maintainable code with comprehensive test coverage
- Champion best practices in system design and software engineering
- Contribute to decisions that help shape our technical landscape
- Participate in code reviews to share knowledge and ensure quality
