How do you make our customers happy?
At bol, customers count on a delivery promise they can trust. Behind that promise is careful planning. As a Logistic Capacity Management intern, you help us understand how many parcels we expect, where capacity risks may appear, and how we can plan smarter. You work with data, turn insights into practical improvements, and support projects that help us make delivery more reliable and efficient. From day one, you are part of the team and get real responsibility, with coaching, training, and room to learn along the way.
What will you do?
You will join the Delivery Capacity Management team, that plans delivery capacity. This team makes sure we have enough capacity to process and deliver customer parcels, also during busy periods. Your work is varied, practical, and closely connected to the customer promise. You help us understand where risks may occur, how we can plan smarter, and how we can improve the way we work.
Help create and improve weekly capacity plans
Analyze delivery data to improve forecasts and planning quality
Explore how we can better predict parcels that arrive earlier than planned
Help predict where we may have too much or too little capacity
Support planning scenarios for busy periods and holidays
Investigate when certain delivery processes may reach their capacity limit
Contribute to projects that improve transport planning, cost insights, or customer promise decisions
Collaborate with colleagues from logistics, data, operations, and commercial teams
Follow useful training sessions, such as a SQL course
Bring in your own ideas to improve how we work
Example projects include predicting how many parcels will arrive earlier than planned, estimating the chance of having too much or too little capacity, creating planning scenarios for holiday peaks, predicting when a delivery process may reach its limit, improving transport planning, and creating better insight into the impact of changing the delivery promise.
What do you bring?
We are looking for an enthusiastic student who enjoys working with data, takes initiative, and likes solving practical puzzles. You do not need to know everything already. We mainly value curiosity, ownership, and the motivation to learn in a dynamic logistics environment.

You are registered at an educational institution during the full internship period
You are available to work 50% from our office in Utrecht and 50% from home
Internship allowance
For a 40-hour per week internship, you’ll receive an allowance of €550 per month.
