Expert Product Analyst – FinTech Raise the bar for product analytics across payments, fraud & everything between
How do you make our customers happy?
Payments that clear instantly. An effortless Buy-Now-Pay-Later option. Fraud prevention that squashes threats without disrupting customers. Seamless financial experiences require excellent data capabilities. In this role, you are the authority on FinTech product analytics. You mature the data craft, scale analytical practices, and elevate data literacy across teams, ensuring that financial data translates into product clarity across Payments, Buy Now Pay Later, Fraud Prevention, Invoicing, and Collections. Your work helps 13.7 million customers take our financial products for granted. And that’s probably the highest compliment in FinTech.
The biggest challenge
Traversing a tightrope between tech depth and business relevance. You’re expected to propel the analytical craft – better frameworks, better experimentation, better tooling – while ensuring that every insight is accessible and actionable for product managers, engineers, and business stakeholders. Who all think in different vocabularies. Add to that: you’re the lead data steward for your domain, responsible for data quality and governance. And you mentor product analysts without managing them, so influencing without hierarchy should come naturally. How do you set the standard for analytical excellence while keeping everyone aligned?
What you'll do as an Expert Product Analyst - FinTech
You’ll work within the FinTech domain, collaborating closely with product analysts, the Managers of Product Analytics (who focus on enabling product strategy with heads of product and business stakeholders), and the data department. From an outside-in perspective, you’ll introduce best practices that shape the future of analytics. This is a craft leadership role; you lead on methodology, quality, and innovation. People management responsibilities, including performance reviews, reside with the Manager of Product Analytics. Your focus? Making everyone around you better at analytics. Your key responsibilities:
- Lead domain-level analytics and experimentation initiatives that directly improve product strategy and execution
- Develop scalable, reliable analytical frameworks that support decision-making across FinTech product teams
- Act as the lead data steward for your domain: own data quality, governance, and ensure analytical outputs are trustworthy
- Mentor and upskill product analysts, fostering a culture of data literacy and continuous improvement
- Drive the adoption of dashboards and analytics tools, making insights accessible and actionable, not just available
- Champion experimentation and outcome validation, including A/B testing, driver trees, and effort measurement
- Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and business stakeholders across teams to embed analytics into the core of how teams work
- Introduce technical innovations by leveraging cloud technologies and advanced analytical methods
- Maintain strong ties with the data department, implementing an outside-in perspective and best practices that shape the future of analytics at bol
Why you can make a difference
You combine in-depth technical expertise with the ability to make complex data clear and actionable. You have advanced SQL and BigQuery skills, and you’re proficient in Python for data analysis. You build dashboards in Looker Studio that colleagues are eager to use, and you’re familiar with Google Cloud services and scalable data solutions. These technical skills aside, it’s imperative that you can translate analytical complexity into language that product managers trust, engineers respect, and leadership acts on. Your stakeholder management is on point, your communication is clear, and you have a passion for mentoring. That’s how you maximize your impact. You also have a continuous improvement mindset and stay abreast of developments in analytical methodology and technology.
