What you'll do

Key Accountabilities within Buying

    • Strategy Development

      Capture and understand market developments and consumer demand trends within the assigned category to support the shaping of the strategy for the category.

    • Supplier Management

      Maintain effective supplier relationships and build new supplier relationships in line with strategy for the category to ensure consumer demand is met effectively and profitably.

    • Sourcing Planning

      Develop and deliver a sourcing plan in line with the strategy and revenue, margin, and promotional opportunities of the category.

    • Purchasing

      Ensure the most efficient purchasing process – from market scanning and product assessment to contracting and predictable/timely delivery.

    • Negotioation

      Negotiate the best deals for bol which maximise profitability while minimising risk to the organisation.

    • Pricing

      Provide insights that are necessary for an effective pricing strategy within the market in which the assigned suppliers are active.

    • Forecasting

      Provide concrete data and insights on historical financial performance as well as forecasted performance to the Shop Manager of the assigned category.

    • Financial Settlement

      Deliver timely and accurate financial settlement of transactions, purchase price differences and agreed conditions (e.g. vendor allowances).
