What will make you stand out?
We are looking for numerous skills such as: Automation & AI-Driven Mindset, Cisco & Juniper product portfolios, Advanced Troubleshooting, Optical Network Technologies, Wireless networks, Project Management, Puppet, Linux, drivers license B (yes, you need to drive around for this role). Clear, direct and effective communication skills, plus self-driven.
Who are you then?
- Self-Motivated & Driven: Self-starting team player. Taking ownership of issues from detection to permanent resolution, from drafts to implementation.
- CLI-First Thinker: You feel most comfortable in a terminal/CLI environment and prefer precise CLI-driven interactions for diagnostics and configuration.
- Protocol Expert: You possess deep knowledge of core routing (BGP, OSPF) and fabric
technologies (MPLS, VXLAN, EVPN).
- Automation-Oriented: You enjoy scripting and want to apply an AI-driven automation mindset to networking tasks.
- Communicator & Collaborator: You have strong communication skills to coordinate with technical teams, business stakeholders, and external vendors.
- Hands-on Troubleshooter: You excel at debugging complex, cross-layer issues (from physical fibers to transport-layer sessions).
- Ready for Action: You are capable and willing to run 24/7 standby shifts to support our high-availability standards.
Preferred qualifications: Knowledge of routing and switching protocols (BGP, OSPF, MPLS,VXLAN, EVPN), core network services (DHCP, DNS, NTP), Bash/Python scripting.
What you will do as Network Engineer - Core Network Team
- Full-Stack Network Operations: Manage and optimize connections across ISO Layers 1-4. You will handle everything from physical - layer transport, including fiber optics and optical networks, up to transport-layer optimization.
- Advanced Fabric & Overlay Management: Design, deploy, and scale modern overlay and underlay fabrics utilizing MPLS, VXLAN, and EVPN architectures.
- Telemetry & Network Visibility: Configure and manage SNMP-based monitoring frameworks to maintain near real-time visibility into network health, latency, and performance.
- Infrastructure Automation: Build and collaborate on modern, robust, AI-driven, automation workflows to eliminate manual toil, orchestrate deployments, and simplify troubleshooting.
- Operational Support & Standby: Troubleshoot network anomalies, perform packet analysis, and participate in standby shifts to ensure 24/7 reliability.
- Lifecycle & Projects: Lead and coordinate technical network projects (from major hardware upgrades to creating new locations).
3 reasons why this is (not) for you
Switch to find out
You thrive in a CLI-first, protocol-rich environment
If tuning BGP attributes, configuring EVPN-VXLAN, and working directly on Cisco and Juniper CLI excites you, this is the perfect environment.
You want to scale complex infrastructure
You will be directly managing a multi-datacenter network spanning the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany, along with sprawling warehouse networks.
You are passionate ab out automation
We are actively transitioning away from manual configurations towards modern, code-driven, and AI-driven networking.

What tool-stack will you b e working with?
To manage and secure our network infrastructure, you will work with a rich ecosystem of tools and technologies:
Core Hardware: Cisco & Juniper enterprise-grade routing, switching, and security platforms.
We have a highly redundant, BGP everywhere, no stretched Layer 2 transport network without single points of failure.
Scripting & Config Management: CMDB (Netbox), Python, Puppet and shell scripting.
Linux: Network stack, Bird routing daemon.

We take pride in our B Corp certification and strive for continuous improvement every day. Our annual bonus is tied to sustainability goals, and we are committed to equality and equal opportunities for all.
