Nienke - Women in Logistics

Logistics is where data meets creativity – and where strategic decisions are made using both intuition and data, says Nienke Rave, our Head of Operations Control. She gives an insight into the world of logistics at bol, and explains why diversity leads to stronger results.

Kristina - Neurodiversity

We all have different brains, preferences and ideas. Research even proves that this variation makes us stronger together. At the same time, these differences are not always readily accepted. And that’s why Kristina started the Neurodiversity@bol community. Each person – neurodivergent or neurotypical – needs another environment to thrive. If we remain curious about all types of social norms, if we are willing to make some adjustments in the way we work around meetings and communication, bol becomes the workplace for us all.

Niels-Peter - Accessibility

Buying stuff online is usually a piece of cake, right? Just a click and you're good to go. But for some, it's not that simple. That's where Niels-Peter comes in. As Lead Product Design, he's all about making shopping as smooth as possible for everyone. Together with his team, he is on a mission to make sure that the bol platform is accessible to all our customers. In this On The Dot video, Niels-Peter shares his thoughts on accessibility at bol and how it affects his day-to-day life. He also stresses the importance of spreading awareness to truly become the shop for us all.

A place where you can be 100% you, that’s only possible if we create a place where every boller feels safe, at home and free to bring their full self. Regardless of where you come from, what you believe, who you love, how you feel, or what you look like. Regardless of what you eat, how you dress, the way you talk, or what you put in your shopping cart. A place where, whoever you are, it really doesn’t matter.

We’re creating that place together. Embracing our diversity to bring out the best in each other. Every background, experience, personality, and perspective has a unique contribution to add to our story. When you bring different people together, the most beautiful things will arise, and we can truly make a difference. It’s how we understand and connect with our customers, our partners, and our world. So, we can fulfil our mission and change retail to make everyday life easier.
