Content is of strategic importance as it can make or break the customer experience. If content, or product information, is correct and inspiring, customers will have a satisfying shopping experience and find exactly what they are looking for. As a Content Platform, we process and enrich the product information of millions of products, as provided by our 30,000 partners on a daily basis. Not only do we provide the best product information to the bol.com webshop, we also make sure the full bol.com product catalog is available to other users, such as online marketing, logistics and customer service. The smarter and more scalable the platform, the more relevant our content is, and the nicer it is for customers to shop with us. It’s up to you to take care of that!
The big challenge
In the coming years, the number of partners and the diversity of our content (such as video and voice) will grow to an extent that is unprecedented in the Netherlands. This growth makes it a challenge to process product information in a scalable way. We already know one thing for sure: there are no plug-and-play solutions. We need to come up with smart ideas ourselves to innovate our content platform using the newest available technologies.
Your responsibilities as Business Analyst Product Content Platform
As Business Analyst you work in an informal and professional team. Together with 10 colleague business analysts, data analysts and product owners, you are responsible for delivering high-impact innovations. Based on your requirements, your colleagues from IT develop scalable solutions, ranging from radical innovations to pragmatic optimizations. Experiments and MVPs are core ingredients in our way of working, as are clear business cases that explain why we want to innovate. You work closely with your teammates, our IT teams and many stakeholders within bol.com. Everything is geared towards optimizing the value for customers, partners and bol.com.

- Which product information is relevant to customers?
- How can we better evaluate the quality of our product information?
- How can we intelligently apply data science to our platform?
