Data-driven, adventurous (mistakes are allowed, if learnings are shared) and boldly going where no online retailer has gone before, we want to deliver on our promise to make the daily lives of our customers easier and more enjoyable. And that is exactly what our 350 IT-professionals, working in 60+ autonomous Scrum teams do daily. Join in?

Your responsibilities as a creator of retail tooling?

  • Develop clean and high-performance code for tens of thousands of users
  • Improve performance of our ‘retail tooling’ and increase scalability
  • Coach, inspire and engage team members, discussion partner for business units
  • Stay in touch with end-users, figuring out their needs and wishes
  • Spot opportunities translate these into compelling proof of concepts

As Frontend Software Engineer you’ll join a Scrum team that is dedicated to improving the daily life of partners, suppliers and employees who contribute to our shopping platform. By offering all of them the best possible tools to maintain the shop, manage their assortment and optimize product information, you have a huge impact on the way tens of thousands of users work and – by extension – on how they entice and inspire millions of customers

3 reasons why this is(n’t) for you

  • Because you have in-depth JavaScript frameworks (e.g. React, Angular and ES6) knowledge and understand dependency management (RequireJS / Commonjs or comparable)
  • Because you have demonstrable multi-device front-end development experience with desktop and touch devices
  • Because you ‘breathe’ CSS, and have bullet-proof understanding of HTML
  • Because you feel comfortable developing for one browser, but not for a range of them
  • Because your code is a lot of things, but rarely clear or modular
  • Because you have no idea how to convey complex insights to people outside of IT

Where you’ll work offers an IT-driven work environment where a cross-functional attitude is the norm and maximizing customer value is the shared ambition. All teams autonomously deploy their own code to the production environment. At, we embrace innovation and new technologies. If you want to investigate new tooling, go for it. We offer a work environment that includes an on-campus soccer field, hackathons, fitness facilities, a games room and Friday afternoon get-togethers at our own bar. The setting is informal, unpretentious and innovative. Our strength is a sense of cooperation among equals that drives us to continuously improve ourselves and each other. You can achieve good things alone, and greater things together.
