The biggest challenge
Team Axle makes life easy for our fellow JVM engineers, creating a multiplier effect across over 100 teams. Team Axle delivers a standardized, opinionated framework and implements technical cost and efficiency optimizations for building and running applications. We are a crucial component of the bol tech community. Our internal customers deserve and expect seamless user experience to build and run JVM applications within our IT landscape. What you’ll do as Product Manager for the Application Framework
As the Product Manager for Team Axle, you will collaborate closely with the engineering team, product analyst, engineering manager, as well as the architect and tech lead of the Engineering Productivity Group. You are a member of the platform engineering family within the Technical Platform. Together with your peers and the Group Product Manager, you will co-create the product strategy, lead continuous discovery of key opportunities, and advocate for the product’s value across the organization.
To maximize your impact, it’s essential to understand the technical complexities to help the team prioritize tech health and opportunities. We also expect you to adopt product-led best practices and utilize the appropriate processes, tools, and knowledge. The aim is to gain a comprehensive understanding of the ‘how and why’ behind product development and utilize those skills to improve the products we provide to our developers.
- Continuously deepen your understanding of the JVM ecosystem and community, product domain, users' needs, and the product's potential.
- Support the team to identify solutions that enhance product usage and deliver the #1 experience for building and running JVM applications.
- Define and measure product success in collaboration with your team.
- Adopt a 'fail fast' approach, swiftly discerning what works and what doesn't.
- Forge strong relationships with our internal community to foster contributions.
- Inspire the team to think out of the box and build the right solutions at the right time.
